Lead Maintenance Technician
This exciting role will be responsible for preventative maintenance around the facility and for leading and training the other maintenance technicians. A solid understanding of preventative maintenance within an automated manufacturing environment and leadership skills will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Burlington, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of solar cells and PV Modules for the renewable energy industry. Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 7 maintenance technicians on shift.
- Coordinate with the shift leadership team to ensure desired outcomes.
- Synchronize with production, quality, and maintenance personnel as needed.
- Ensure proper usage of CMMS.
- Monitor and enforce PM completion and work order completion for corrective actions.
- Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts inventory levels.
- Perform repairs on equipment to restore it to proper and safe working conditions.
- Perform installation, set up, modification, and relocation of equipment to accommodate or improve production requirements.
- Read/write electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, and basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Ensure the production schedule is not jeopardized due to machine breakdown, or unsafe operating conditions and inform the Maintenance Manager about changes in electric circuits and update original diagrams.
- Always follow the LOCK OUT procedure on unsafe machines/machines being serviced.
- Adhere to work orders and preventative/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required forms and organizing the workplace to comply with housekeeping requirements.
- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required.
- Complete electrical and mechanical projects based on the direction given by the Maintenance Supervisor as required by government regulation.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations always.
- Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects, and special assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety.
- Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, and valves.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of preventative maintenance experience in automated manufacturing environments is required.
- 2+ years of leadership experience is required.
- Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and ladder/function block logic.
- Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contactors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches, and proximity sensors.
- Can work well with a team and has mechanical aptitude/willingness to troubleshoot issues.
- Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems is preferred.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance procedures is preferred.
- Forklift or scissor lift certification or experience is preferred.
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts.
Salary Range:
- $72,800-93,600 per year ($35-45/hr) depending on experience.
